Matt is the Managing Director of Canyon Accounting. Matt oversees the accounting for several real estate investment funds, as well as providing oversight and consulting related to financial controls and strategy for all of Canyon Accounting’s clients. 

Prior to working for Canyon Accounting, Matt was the financial manager at Cencore LLC, a rapidly growing government contracting firm located in Utah. In that role, Matt managed the preparation and presentation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and oversaw the management of all company accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledgers, and reporting systems. Matt designed Cencore’s financial internal controls and month-end close process and created implemented several cost-saving efficiencies. Prior to that, Matt worked as an auditor at PwC, serving several small- to mid-size clients. 

Matt earned his B.S. and Master’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University, graduating with magna cum laude honors. 

Jeremiah is a Controller at Canyon Accounting. He currently manages the accounting for Reef Capital Partners, a large private credit and private equity real estate investment firm. 

Mike is a Tax Manager for Canyon Accounting. He provides partnership tax and entity structure planning for the majority of Canyon Accounting’s clients. 

Before joining Canyon Accounting, Mike worked at CLA, a national CPA firm, working with clients that had complex state and entity issues.  Prior to working at CLA, Mike worked as a financial analyst and insurance specialist to help create financial plans for clients, gaining experience in general real estate and investment properties. 

Mike graduated with a Master of Taxation from Weber State University and is a CPA in the state of Utah.

Lorraine is a Controller at Canyon Accounting. Her current responsibility is overseeing the accounting for loan servicing clients. Lorraine has been an integral part in developing the accounting methods, payment processes, and internal controls for the accounting department. 

Prior to PCG, Lorraine worked in the banking/credit union industry doing corporate accounting, auditing, and cash management. She has performed cash management for a mid-large asset size credit union and helped to complete the reconciliation of complex accounts. Prior to her position with Canyon Accounting, Lorraine worked as an auditor for the Utah Credit Union League. She completed agreed-upon-procedure audits for small to mid-size credit unions which included audit tasks, such as loan file review of mortgage, commercial, and personal loans, financial audits, operational process audits, and security/fraud investigations.

Lorraine earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. 

Kelly is an Assistant Controller at Canyon Accounting. Her role includes overseeing the accounting for several real estate investment and holding companies. 

Kelsey is an Accountant at Canyon Accounting. Her role includes overseeing payroll and human resources and compliance activity for a large holding company of several real estate subsidiaries.

Prior to working for Canyon Accounting Kelsey Yates served as the CEO and CFO of Intelligent Balance Spinal Care. Helping grow the company from the ground up she handled all the financial aspects of the company, served as an HR Manager, hiring and training employees, as well as an operations manager, creating and directing the daily operations followed by the staff. Upon selling the company in 2014, she worked as a remote bookkeeper serving 15 - 20 companies managing their books and preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements.

Kelsey received her BA in Sociology from Purdue University in 2005
